Japanese machine tool manufacturer, Brother, which specialises in building turret-type machining centres with 30-taper spindle tooling, will unveil a successor to its TCS2DN high torque, 10,000 rpm, 500 x 400 x 300 mm capacity model.
Called Speedio S500X1, it offers even faster acc/dec, rapid traverse rates and tool change, which were already very quick. The machine is capable of very high levels of productivity and also lowers power consumption to unrivalled levels of efficiency.
A new control provides faster processing, more functions and higher accuracy machining, especially in 3D. Other new features include greater machine rigidity and a high speed spindle option. As is customary for Brother before a major launch at an international machine tool show, the company is not divulging further details at this stage.
