POSITION: Field Based Machine Tool Service Engineer
Job Description:
As a Machine Tool Service Engineer at Whitehouse Machine Tools, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our machine tools and equipment. You will be responsible for installation, servicing, diagnosing and performing repairs on a wide range of CNC and automation systems. Whilst predominantly a field based role covering the whole of the UK you will also be involved in machine preparation at our showroom so ideally will be located within a 70 mile radius of Kenilworth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of machine tools, CNC equipment, and automation systems.
- Diagnose technical issues, develop solutions, and execute repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance machine longevity.
- Collaborate with the service department to provide technical assistance and resolve customer concerns.
- Keep accurate records of service activities, parts usage, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Machine Tool Service Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC systems, automation, and machine tool operation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
