Overview
OPS INGERSOLL die sinking EDM machines, also known as sink erosion or spark erosion machines, are built for precision machining of complex cavities, fine surfaces and hard materials using graphite or copper electrodes. The EAGLE range is based on a proven gantry machine concept that provides excellent accessibility and geometric stability, with a lowerable work tank, integrated C axis and automatic electrode changer as standard. With machine sizes ranging from the compact GANTRY EAGLE 400 up to the GANTRY EAGLE 2000 for workpieces of up to 30 tonnes, the range covers almost every die sinking requirement, from small precision inserts to the largest mould tools. Typical industries include tool and mould making, automotive, medical technology, aerospace, energy production, pressing and metal forming, and aluminium die casting.
